Firefly Montessori is committed to eco-friendly practices that are safe, sustainable, and best for our environment and our children. We reduce, reuse and recycle whenever possible and use environmentally-safe and gentle cleaning supplies. Our food is organic, minimally processed and of the highest quality ingredients.

Our outdoor spaceWe believe fresh air is food for growing minds and go out daily in all seasons. Our weekly trips to Fernhill Park offer us a chance to get to know our neighbors and build community. This four block walk also provides endless opportunities for outdoor exploration, nature observations and gross motor play. We also enjoy gardening, sliding, running, riding bikes, and playing ball in our big back yard!

Wholesome foodWe serve organic, whole food snacks that are fresh and nutritious. We incorporate seasonal, fresh fruit and vegetables that are delicious and nourishing. Our waste is composted so that our students can participate in the full food cycle.
